Iteris is excited to announce a new release for ClearGuide that now enables the animation favorites feature. This new feature allows users to:

  • Animate historical traffic anomalies
  • Save, annotate and share animations with other users
  • Search saved animations from all users, including the most viewed
  • Download animations in video format
  • Visualize the impacts of severe weather on traffic congestion

Release notes from the product owner

“When the historical time slider was released, it saw positive responses. So positive, that agencies were exporting the data to recreate anomaly animations for historical data. This process took them days to recreate, so our developers went to work, rebuilding the platform from the ground up to natively support fast animations of all map layers, including anomalies, as well as export animations to video files for easy sharing. The purpose of the recent release is to help agencies save time analyzing historical anomalies to efficiently make informed decisions when managing congestion along their roadway network.”

– Tiffany Symes, director of product, Transportation Analytics, Iteris.

The animation enables agencies to:

Conduct post-event analysis on the roadway network’s response to a major event, including incidents, construction, evacuations, traffic demand due to a special event, and inclement weather as compared with a normal day’s traffic.

COVID-19 animation

Actively manage work zones by understanding detour traffic responses as well as make data-driven adjustments tointegrated corridor management response plans to better manage detour traffic for future incidents.

Incident animation

Communicate benefits of improvements to anyone within or outside of the agency with video export of animations.
