Following Iteris' recent commitment to fulfill the MobilityXX pledge to take direct action to help increase the number of women in the transportation industry by 10% over the next 10 years, Iteris' Ramin Massoumi joined a panel of smart transportation industry leaders to discuss why it is important to bring more women and diverse voices into transportation.

Speakers from the Mineta Transportation Institute, WSP and COTA, and moderator Laura Demeo Chace of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America), explained why they are passionate about strengthening equity in transportation across the country, the critical technologies that must be deployed, and a new program that will help the industry reach this goal.

MobilityXX, which launched on October 1, and for which Iteris is proud to be the presenting sponsor, is a partnership of ITS America, The Ray and WTS International Foundation that seeks to engage the broader transportation industry to increase the number of women from all backgrounds in the transportation workforce. Take the pledge here.
