Bentonville: A New Era of Traffic Detection

Over the past 20 years, Bentonville has transformed itself from a relatively unassuming Arkansas town to a bustling center of commerce and culture, making it a community of choice in Northwest Arkansas and the fastest-growing city in the state.

With rapid new developments and a thriving tourism economy, Bentonville's traffic management team is challenged with easily and efficiently tracking and planning for population growth as well as daily fluctuations in its heavy commuter traffic.

Having adopted a culture of technological innovation over many years, Bentonville recently removed its last in-ground induction loop and is now proud to have 100% video detection at all signalized intersections. And having installed VantageLive! in June for traffic data collection, the city leverages real-time traffic data to adjust signal timing as needed at Bentonville's Traffic Monitoring Control Center.

With video detection and access to real-time traffic data, Bentonville's traffic management team is making the city's roadways safer and more efficient.
