Iteris is proud to partner with CropMetrics as it launches its Virtual Predictor technology, which allows growers to create custom irrigation plans that forecast irrigation requirements for the week ahead, using environmental intelligence from Iteris ClearAg.
Having announced the addition of Iteris ClearAg to CropMetrics’ irrigation management platform in January 2018, this new partnership also marks the launch of ClearAg’s new IMFocus Zone Management feature, which will enable CropMetrics customers to access hyperlocal custom field modeling information and machine learning technology based on ClearAg’s state-of-the-science soil and weather data sets.
Together CropMetrics and Iteris are helping irrigation management applications better understand the environment from six feet above to six feet below the land surface, empowering farmers and growers to better manage water and energy inputs while ensuring crop health and turf quality are not compromised.
IMFocus Zone Management capabilities include: seamless integration with farm management and irrigation decision support platforms; zone map uploads for use in irrigation recommendation generation; irrigation recommendations based on zone-specific factors such as soil texture class and organic matter content; and customizable, zone-specific triggers for irrigation event generation.
