Joe Bergera
President and Chief Executive Officer
Joe Bergera was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Iteris in September, 2015. Mr. Bergera brings over 20 years of experience in technology and has held a series of executive roles in global software and service companies. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Bergera served as Group Vice President, Software of Roper Technologies, Inc. (formerly, Roper Industries) since September 2011 and as President of iTradeNetwork, a Roper subsidiary, since August 2013. He was the Executive Vice President and General Manager, Tax Solutions at CCH Wolters Kluwer from March 2011 to September 2011 and served in senior executive positions with Sage Software from 2004 to March 2011, most recently as Executive Vice President, Global CRM. Mr. Bergera holds a B.A. degree in Government from Colby College, an M.B.A. from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and an A.M. in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
Andrew (Andy) Schmidt
Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Andrew (Andy) Schmidt joined Iteris in 2015 as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Schmidt brings 30 years of technology industry experience to Iteris, having spent the last 18 years focused on high growth and restructuring opportunities. Mr. Schmidt spent nine years as CFO of Smith Micro Software, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed software company, where he was a key member of the executive team that built a global leading connection management technology company. Prior to Smith Micro, Mr. Schmidt held CFO positions of public companies including Genius Products Inc. and Mad Catz Interactive, and served as vice president of finance and acting CAO of Peregrine Systems, Inc. Mr. Schmidt holds a M.S.in Accountancy from San Diego State University, and a B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Texas in Austin.
Todd Kreter
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Roadway Sensors
Todd Kreter has served as a Senior Vice President of the Company since May 2009. Mr. Kreter served as our Vice President of Engineering from November 2007 to May 2009. Prior to joining us, Mr. Kreter served in a number of executive positions at Quantum Corporation, most recently as the VP Global Services from 2004 to January 2007, where he managed the company's worldwide customer service organization. Mr. Kreter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fullerton, and a Stanford Executive Institute certification.
Ramin Massoumi, PE
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Transportation Systems
Ramin Massoumi joined Iteris in 1998 and currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Manager overseeing the company’s Transportation Systems division. Prior to this role, Mr. Massoumi served as our Vice President of Business Development from June 2011 to March 2015. Throughout his career, his focus has been in the application of advanced technologies in the traffic management market, and has led projects throughout the United States and the Middle East. Mr. Massoumi serves as a lecturer of upper division courses on transportation engineering, ITS and multi-modal operation at University of California at Irvine. Mr. Massoumi holds an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California, an M.S. degree in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California Irvine.
Tom Blair
Senior Vice President, Performance Analytics
Tom Blair joined Iteris in July 2012 as Sr. Vice President of the Performance Analytics division. Mr. Blair has 30 years of international computer industry experience spanning a range of engineering consulting, sales and management roles. His background includes software engineering, enterprise software consulting, telematics, fleet management, and P&L management for both hardware and software businesses. Most recently, Mr. Blair was general manager for Trimble Navigation Ltd. Tom holds a M.S. in computer science and a B.S. in Management Information Systems.
Scott Carlson, PE
Vice President and Assistant General Manager, Western Region, Transportation Systems
Scott Carlson has served as a Vice President in the Transportation Systems division of Iteris since August 2010. In this role, he oversees Iteris’ Western Region that includes over 60 transportation planners and traffic engineers in offices throughout the western United States. Mr. Carlson started his career with PB Farradyne before joining Iteris in 2000. In his 18 year career, the focus has been ITS applications of transportation engineering, traffic control and management. Mr. Carlson received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and is a registered professional engineer in six states.
Moe Zarean, PE
Vice President and Assistant General Manager, Eastern Region and Middle East, Transportation Systems
Moe Zarean started with Iteris in 2002. He is an internationally recognized expert in the field of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), having authored and presented over 100 reports and papers in this field. Mr. Zarean has 27 years of experience in planning, design and implementation of ITS, specializing in the areas of Advanced Traffic Management Systems, Advanced Traveler Information Systems and Advanced Rural Transportation Systems. Mr. Zarean has led ITS projects in numerous states, as well as projects in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Mr. Zarean is a board member of Minnesota DOT’s ITS GuideStar Program and currently serves as the President for ITSVA. Mr. Zarean holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Transportation from The Ohio State University.
