ITS Planning
Intelligent Transportation Systems embrace complex, multi-modal, and area-wide network solutions. Individual systems employ various communications networks and are, in turn, networked together, to exchange information and support coordinated cross-modal applications. The careful planning for the deployment of such systems requires a comprehensive understanding of ITS components, systems, their interaction and their operation. Our multi-disciplinary team has carried out various ITS Planning projects paving the way for ITS deployment. In some cases, these planning projects have preceded later systems architecture design, while other projects have built upon regional architecture definitions to plan individual ITS deployments.
