Welcome to the Turbo Architecture Support Page.

Turbo Architecture is a software application that supports development of regional and project ITS architectures using the National ITS Architecture as a starting point. Find out more about the Turbo Architecture software.

Turbo Architecture Version 5.0, now available for download, supports National ITS Architecture Version 6.1, fixes bugs identified in Version 4.1, and includes a host of new features and capabilities. Using Turbo Version 5.0, you can:

  • Enter regional objectives, strategies, and needs and connect those items to regional services / market packages in the regional ITS architecture. Use the new Market Package Search feature to find market packages that best support the needs of the region.
  • Export all key Turbo data as Microsoft Word tables and Excel worksheets. Control the columns that are exported and their order to create ready-to-publish tables.
  • Publish a Microsoft Word document that addresses the FHWA Final Rule / FTA Policy, with standard document chapters devoted to each requirement of the final rule. Set up a template so the detail from the Turbo database is merged with introductory text and graphics, creating a ready-to-share document that is 100% consistent with your Turbo Architecture database.
  • Spell check your work, using the new interactive spell check capability to correct your spelling and add words to a custom dictionary so that the spell checker learns new words as you spell check.
Turbo Architecture includes a Conversion facility that supports quick and easy conversion of existing Turbo databases, providing a convenient migration path for existing Turbo users.
