4.1.8–Manage Individual Service Requests (Pspec*)
This process shall manage service requests for routing of an individual through the transit system. The process shall take requests from other processes (associated with the Information Service Provider or the Transit Passenger Information functions) and provide transit plans for both fixed and demand responsive transit. The process shall be able to coordinate with Other Transit Management systems or Multimodal Transportation Service Providers in order to provide a complete multimodal trip plan. In a more advanced implementation the process shall accept confirmations for the plans provided, track the passenger through the transit network, and coordinate with Other TRM and Multimodal Transportation Service Providers so that the passenger makes efficient connections between the transit system and other transit systems or other modes of transportation.This Pspec is associated with the Transit Management Subsystem*.
