Description

This market package provides in-vehicle sensors and on-board communications to monitor the vehicle's local environment, determine collision probability and deploy a pre-crash safety system. It will include on-board sensors to measure lateral and longitudinal gaps and together with weather and roadway conditions will determine lateral and longitudinal collision probability. It will exchange messages with other equipped vehicles to determine the precise location of surrounding vehicles. It will deploy a pre-crash safety system when a crash is imminent.
