Detected problems are reported to the driver and additional diagnostics data is stored for the service technician. Functional Requirements*:
- The vehicle shall monitor engine-related components including the emissions control system.
- The vehicle shall report detected problems to the driver and store additional diagnostics data for the service technician.
- The vehicle shall provide diagnostics data to field elements using field-vehicle communications to support vehicle performance monitoring.
- The vehicle shall receive diagnostics messages and advisories from field elements, present the provided information to the driver, and store the received information for use by service technicians.
