Compared to a detailed system architecture used to develop and deploy a live system, CVRIA is still very high-level. As the companion software tool, SET-IT, is developed to include greater specificity (design phases on the V-diagram) it needs to be based on constructs within CVRIA. For Version 2.1 the viewpoint specifications have been expanded with more detail for the stakeholders concerns. Also in 2.1, the functional view for the security credentials management system (SCMS) application was populated. The physical and enterprise views were defined in CVRIA 2.0. Further changes such as supporting the development of system design documentation may be supported in future updates.
