In October 2013, the architecture team worked with the Vehicle Infrastructure Integration Consortium (VIIC) to show the variations of how the Vehicle OBE physical object could be implemented (integrated, carry-in, after-market, etc). With CVRIA Version 2.1, the Enterprise view has been updated to show the various types of relationships that may or may not be needed depending on how applications and/or devices are implemented. Also the term "Vehicle Platform" that represented the non-ITS components on a vehicle is confusing with the term "platform" used by the auto industry to represent the basic structure on which a vehicle is built, which defines its general size, strength and body construction. For CVRIA, the "Vehicle Databus" now represents the data interface between the connected vehicle onboard equipment and the non-ITS systems that are part of the vehicle.
